Our Vision

The Institute for Health Professions at Cambria Heights is a Career and Technical Education high school dedicated to preparing students for success in both higher education and the health professions. Grounded in academic rigor and real-world application, our program challenges students to move beyond the traditional classroom by engaging in collaborative problem-solving and project-based learning rooted in authentic medical and community issues.

Through goal setting, critical thinking, and the completion of demanding, meaningful projects, students develop the discipline and confidence required for collegiate and professional environments. We provide access to college-level coursework while enabling students to earn industry-recognized certifications in Emergency Medical Services, Nurse Assisting, Pharmacy Technician, or Surgical Technologist. Upon graduation, our students are well prepared to transition into two- or four-year colleges, technical programs, or directly into the healthcare workforce, equipped with both the knowledge and purpose to serve their communities with excellence.
